AWE Track Exhaust - 2023+ Toyota GR Corolla

The pinnacle of hot-hatch performance. At the confluence of elegance and power resides the Touring Edition Exhaust – a 3” T304L stainless steel downpipe-back setup delivering a deep, rich, and robust sound that transforms the GRC's demeanor from idle to full throttle, and throughout the power band.

Equipped with AWE’s proprietary drone-reducing 180 Technology®, the Touring Edition extracts the raw essence of the 1.6L engine while eliminating the specific frequencies that create cabin discomfort, which could otherwise disrupt the GRC's structural integrity and induce what many may recognize as drone at highway speeds. The 180 Technology® resonators utilize a design devoid of packing material to maintain tonal consistency over time, alongside a straight-through configuration to enhance exhaust flow. Their primary function is to obliterate frequencies that produce drone, resulting in a clear and uninhibited exhaust sound paired with optimal performance.

Dyno Tests: AWE Exhaust For The GR Corolla

Single 3” to triple 2.5” design:

The Touring and Track Editions are equipped with a 3” inlet on the mid-pipe, allowing for additional modifications upstream without interference. The stamped stainless merge at the rear facilitates a smooth transition from a single 3” outlet to three 2.5” outlets, ensuring optimal flow through each exit.

Bullets in the back:

Each exhaust is equipped with a combination of custom straight-through bullet-style resonators at the rear, designed to deliver an aggressive sound while also managing unwanted rasp.

Tailored tips:

A custom-designed oval double-walled tip measuring 4.5" x 8" is center-mounted, accompanied by two 5" double-walled tips, each featuring a slash cut, available in chrome silver or diamond black. These are the most aesthetically pleasing aftermarket tips offered for the GRC.

Conversion kits:

AWE simplifies the process of converting current Track Editions into Touring Editions and vice versa, allowing you to adjust your interior volume as needed in the future. It's important to note that both the Touring and Track Editions are designed with an aggressive sound profile; the distinction comes from a subtle variation in the intense frequencies generated by the 1.6L engine during highway cruising speeds.

Nope, they’re not valved:

During research and development, AWE carried out a thorough assessment of the factory valve and its performance across various driving conditions to understand its functionality. The valve cannot be controlled by the driver in any way; it remains fixed regardless of driving mode, button presses, or settings—no manual opening or closing of the valve is possible from inside the vehicle. It operates directly based on throttle input, only opening after a specific threshold set by the ECU is reached, typically at low RPMs. Its primary function is to manage backpressure, with the exhaust system designed to prioritize flow through the larger center outlet. The stock rear muffler has a baffled design without packing material, which only channels flow to the left and right exits during light throttle cruising.

After validating these findings, and considering our enhancements naturally address any backpressure concerns, there was no merit in including a valve in our design. The kit is equipped with an integrated valve motor mount to facilitate secure relocation.

Power to the pavement:

Dyno-verified gains of +3 hp and +1 lb-ft of torque at the wheels on an otherwise stock vehicle.

100% emission-friendly:

Touring and Track Editions do not interfere with any factory emissions equipment.

Weights:

Track Edition: 37.5 lbs (with clamps & tips) | Touring Edition: 46.5 lbs (with clamps & tips)

AWE uses T304L stainless steel with a wall thickness of .065". The overall weights of each system are directly reflective of the material used, the increase in diameter throughout the exhaust, and the increase in component content.

Made in PA, USA:

Engineered, designed, and manufactured in-house at AWE using US-sourced .065”-wall T304L stainless steel to achieve a tone deeper than everyone else.

The fine print:

AWE’s Perfect Fitment Guarantee, No CEL Guarantee, and Lifetime Warranty all come standard. Track Editions can not be returned for sound reasons (but you can do a conversion kit to Touring Edition at any time!).
